Walpole-Algonac Ferry Line Ltd

The Walpole-Algonac Ferry Line has been in operation for over 100 years. Operating out of Walpole Island (Ontario, Canada) the ferry crosses the St.Clair River to Algonac (Michigan, USA) and is the closest route between Detroit and Chatham/Wallaceburg/London/Toronto areas.

The ferry is minutes away from Historic Downtown Chatham, Dresden Slots, Wallaceburg & District Museum, Family Picnic Shelter at Dover Community Park, St. Clair National Wildlife Area, and a short drive to Chatham & Wallaceburg Restaurants and retailers for you shopping pleasure. POWWOW WEEKEND, MAY 19TH, 20TH, 2012, SEE BELOW.

2012 -.POWWOW weekend May 19-20 @ Walpole Island Sports Complex. Traditional native drumming,singing, dancing, crafts, food. Michigan guest playing native flute songs. Saturday May 19th @1 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday, May 20th @ 1pm. Admission free. U.S. visitors GPS---202 Fruit Street, Algonac, Mich, and cross to Walpole Island and follow signs. Scheduled to take place outside, but will move indoors if there is inclement weather.

Price per car---$6.00 one way.

You must have a passport or enhanced Drivers License to present to Customs to enter either country.
